Inside the World of Ujjwal Goel: Dubai’s Visionary in Neo-Imperial Interior Design

  • Aug 08, 2025

“Design isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces, it’s about crafting a feeling. And when that feeling is just right, that’s when I know we’ve arrived.”

That sentence encapsulates Ujjwal Goel’s design philosophy. As the Creative Director of La Sorogeeka Interiors, a luxury interior design and build firm based in Dubai, India, and beyond, Goel has made it his mission to create spaces that are not only exquisite but also emotionally resonant.

His work goes beyond aesthetics. It reflects story, precision, legacy, and above all, soul. Whether crafting a luxury villa in Dubai Hills or working on branded residences for international names, Goel continues to redefine what it means to be a luxury interior designer in Dubai.

A cultural legacy: How Ujjwal Goel’s interior design journey began

“Design was quite literally woven into the fabric of my upbringing,” Goel recalls. Raised in India by one of the country’s most celebrated interior designers, his mother, he was immersed in a world where architecture and emotion intertwined.

It was during his travels, walking through grand hotels and historic estates, that Goel discovered his creative voice. “Design became a language of emotion,” he says, “a way to build meaning into form.”

That philosophy eventually led him to La Sorogeeka Interiors, a firm renowned across the UAE and India for its bespoke, high-end interiors.

Neo-Imperial classicism: The signature style behind Dubai’s luxury interiors

Goel describes his design language as Neo-Imperial Classicism, a style rooted in proportion, symmetry, and timelessness. It blends classical architecture with today’s material innovations to produce refined, deeply personal environments.

“I’m particularly drawn to exotic marbles, layered stone, and oxidised metals,” he shares. “Luxury should feel deliberate, never overwhelming. It should breathe.”

A perfect embodiment of this is Imperial, a luxury residence in Dubai Hills Estate. Referencing French Classical and Neo-Classical design, the villa is both majestic and intimate. It features book-matched marble columns, a double-height foyer, and meticulous stonework, all custom-created to reflect Goel’s obsession with symmetry and craftsmanship.

“When your benchmark is perfect, even a millimetre matters.”

Designing Dubai’s finest residences with a global vision

Despite his international recognition, Goel resists complacency. “In many ways, the day you feel you’ve arrived is the day the magic begins to fade,” he says.

Instead, he views each project as a new dialogue, with materials, with clients, and with the cultures that shape them. The result is something more sculptural, more nuanced. From natural stone and bronze finishes to the integration of smart design technology, Goel continues to innovate.

“The future lies at the intersection of tradition and innovation, and that’s where the real magic happens.”

Goel’s vision continues to shape the future of luxury interior design in the UAE and beyond, driven by a relentless pursuit to build the best homes in the world.

“This commitment to excellence guides our evolution as designers, creators, and storytellers of space.”
